CARING FOR YOUR SAN PLASTIC DORM PRODUCTS:
SAN plastic is a blend of acrylic and styrene that produces very durable break resistant and scratch resistant food safe drinkware and tableware, a smart choice for dorms, homes, and restaurants alike!
SAN plastic is not scratch-proof, but tends to be more scratch resistant than acrylic and polycarbonate plastic. SAN plastic tableware is not recommended for heavy use with knives so live dorm smart and don't use your plates for a cutting board. DormSmart chose the Bentley's White ExtremeWare Plates to reduce the appearance of scratches.
SAN plastic tableware is designed for years of use in both commercial and residential dishwashers for water temperatures up to 150 Degrees Fahrenheit. Unlike acrylic glasses, SAN plastic drinkware and dishes will not cloud and craze.
*Residential Use: Energy Star-rated residential dishwashers feature water heating systems that can far exceed commercial temperatures and damage plastic drinkware. Be sure to consult your dishwasher user guide for the proper cycle to use to prevent damage to your san plastic dorm dishes.We do not recommend placing any product with a monogram color other than black and white in the dishwasher.
