New cases of bed bugs have increased over 500% over the past few years and are expected to increase in the coming years. Driving along the streets of cities such as New York City, San Francisco or Chicago, it’s not hard to find hundreds of mattresses being disposed of due simply to these blood-sucking pests. Bed bugs, as the name suggests, often live along the folds and seams of the mattress and box spring. Once inside, they quickly reproduce further increasing the infestation (please see our Bed Bug Information Section).
Our bed bug box spring encasements were designed to eliminate the entry or exit points many box spring covers fail to protect. Rather then disposing of expensive mattress sets, our encasements can be applied sealing off the box spring and mattress preventing any bed bugs trapped inside from escaping. Over time, these trapped bed bugs will die of starvation due to the lack of a blood source. Our box spring encasements differ from our mattress encasements in that they do not have a cotton terry sleeping surface as the mattress rests on top.
When designing our premium SafeRest encasements for bed bugs, dust mites and fluid protection, we selected only the finest materials and developed our own exclusive features. The outcome was a breathable noiseless encasement that prevents bed bugs, fluids and Dust Mites from passing through. This premium level of protection has helped many with allergies and asthma to improve their health by providing a more sterile and allergen free sleep environment. Our encasements have also helped others to protect and treat their mattresses against bed bugs. Finally, those who perspire while sleep or have children, pets and incontinence have benefited from our waterproof breathable materials that block all fluids from passing through.
*Please see our Care Instructions and Bed Bug Encasement FAQ. We recommend washing our encasements before initial use to remove any packaging odors there might be.
